2e2 Douglas Rugby Club travel to Oldershaw this weekend. Oldershaw have in previous seasons had a big pack and an astute back line. This season they seem to be languishing at the lower end of the table whilst Douglas are nearer the top, but don't let that fool you they are a well organised and physical side and Douglas will have their hands full come saturday.
There are a few changes to the Douglas team this week, Carl Markl Ferns is the only remaining front row from last weeks victory, he will be joined by the returning Rob Todd and Glyn Hooson-Owen. Daryn Thompson and James Lidgett are also available and will fight for the slot left by James Creasey in the back row. Liam 'Mandingo' Murphy is also pushing for a start after some impressive run outs from the bench.
The backline is much the same this week with Simon Heggs easing his way back to fitness at full back.
Douglas were far from impressive against last time out and there is room for improvement across the board. Douglas need to revert to type and play with the structure and intensity that was there in the first few weeks.
This Douglas side when playing at its full potential could be a handful for any side. If Douglas can find their form on Saturday then they are capable of getting the win. However don't let the league table fool you, Oldershaw are a strong physical side who will have a big impact on Saturday and Douglas will write them off at their peril!
